We offer two experiential learning courses designed to support continuous professional development by giving attendees a deeper knowledge and understanding of inclusive cycling . The courses are tailored to ensure they are of value to people working in different fields.

Experiential Learning: Inclusive Cycling & Mobility Justice



The Active Travel (Wales) Act provides technical guidance for walking, wheeling and cycling infrastructure, and advises on accessibility and inclusion.  But what does inclusive cycling look and feel like in practice?  

On this one-day group course you will gain in-person experience to deepen your knowledge and understanding of inclusive cycling.

Facilitated by qualified cycling instructors, this training has been designed to be suitable  for a range of policy makers and professionals, including: highway engineers, transport planners, architects, designers, public servants, transport providers, active travel professionals, researchers and campaigners.

Experiential Learning: Inclusive Cycling for Health Professionals



Half-day experiential learning course in inclusive cycling to equip health professionals with the knowledge, understanding and confidence to refer patients for cycling. This course takes place in the parks around Pedal Power and is facilitated by qualified cycling instructors.

During the course you will:

Explore the health and wellbeing benefits of cycling

Experience the power of pedalling for people living with or recovering from long term illnesses, / conditions and disabilities

Try out some of our non-standard cycles such as recumbent tricycles, side by side cycles, hand cycles, wheelchair carrying cycles, tandems and more

Gain an understanding of the types of cycles available and specialist adaptations available to suit a range of people and support needs
