We're building a more sustainable future for Pedal Power and its members - could you or someone you know help by making a small monthly donation? As friends and supporters, you’ll know that this has been a financially challenging year for Pedal Power, the main reason being the way we’re funded. We receive no core funding so rely on generating income ourselves and bidding for grants and funding pots. With this model, we’ve been able to successfully grow and develop our services year on year, but it can leave us exposed if funding bids are delayed or unsuccessful. It also makes planning for our future very difficult. The case for Regular Giving - a lot of small monthly donations really add up!Currently, we have a few people who donate £5 or £10 to us each month. Increasing this number to 500, could give us an additional monthly income of between £2500 and £5000. And this is why boosting Regular Giving could be a ‘game-changer’ for Pedal Power. Our earlier Crowdfunding campaign, the upcoming 12 Hours for Pedal Power and one-off donations all help to boost funds in the short term and make a huge difference. But having a regular and reliable source of additional income through Regular Giving would put us on a stable footing for the long term, and would mean we could: · Build a stable and sustainable financial base that can withstand shocks and unforeseen challenges · Plan for our future knowing our core services are secure for our 1700 members · Maintain our accessible pricing structure that supports carers and family members to cycle regularly and enables access to our specialist equipment at the lowest price possible (we give away 1000's of free and subsidised carer rides every year)! · Continue to provide you with one of the best accessible cycle fleets in the UK, replacing older equipment and seeking new innovative options to help make cycling even more inclusive at Pedal Power · Grow our offering, and support more people across Cardiff and South Wales to enjoy inclusive cycling · Support and grow our volunteer base – our 50+ regular volunteers are vital in supporting all our services We understand that not all of you will be in a position to do this, but if you or someone you know can and would like to become a regular donor, please click the link below and complete your details. The process is quick, secure and simple and any amount will make a difference. Thank you! |
