LAUNCHING 12 HOURS FOR PEDAL POWER: This is our new and exciting fundraising event being held on Monday 17th August at Maindy Velodrome. Organised by our Trustees and being run as a sponsored team cycling challenge, the event will run from 6am to 6pm, with all teams having one rider on the track for the duration of the challenge.

Open to everyone, teams will typically have 8-12 people and we're asking each team member to raise at least £100 - with all funds going to Pedal Power. The more people taking part, the more money will be raised so if you or someone you know would like to take part, please click on button below.

More details and how to sign up

NB: Riders must be able to cycle on the Maindy Velodrome track. This is only suitable for 2-wheel, recumbent trike and tandem cycles.

STICKING WITH THE THEME OF FUNDRAISING: A big thank you to everyone who raises free funds for us via easyfundraising. KINDNESS IS PRICELESS: Last week we launched our 'Pay it Forward' scheme called Kindness is Priceless. This allows anyone to pre-pay for a food or drink item from our cafe menu for someone else to enjoy for free later.

We must have a lot of very kind customers at Pedal Power as our Kindness is Priceless board is full of vouchers! Anyone in need can redeem up to one drink and one food voucher per day for free. PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD!!

ARE YOU A WHEELCHAIR USER?: We've been contacted about a project to improve the information available about the accessibility of streets, paths, and public spaces. The aim is to help Disabled people better understand the accessibility of routes before they travel, making it easier to plan journeys and travel with greater confidence and independence.

This phase of the project is funded by the National Centre for Accessible Transport (NCAT), and they're looking for wheelchair users (manual and electric) help shape the project by sharing their experiences and perspectives.
